I am an aspiring writer of fiction, sequential storytelling (comics) and media (film, television, cartoons). I’ve also dabbled as a columnist for a local paper. My primary interest is “genre” fiction – fantasy, horror and science fiction, though my various projects touch on straight-ahead suspense, drama and action as well. I’m currently working on a novel and a few short stories, alongside my comics projects.
I’m very much aware of the stigma attached to those who claim to be “writers”, yet generate little tangible output. A few years back I decided to get serious about the craft that I’ve dabbled in since childhood (my first story, at age 5 – spoiler alert! – “The Cricket that Won the Race”) and started filling notebooks with densely-crammed pages of my minute scrawl. Over time I narrowed down a large collection of ideas, plots and characters to a smaller number of priority projects. I’m developing these now, and hope to have lots to talk about here very soon.
