Photography
My career in internet and radio has required versatility and adaptability – if a new project requires a particular skill set and nobody in the office has it, well, you get a new hat to wear. That’s primarily how I fell into photography – somebody had to do it, and I just happened to be handy with a camera. (That freshman year photography course wasn’t wasted, after all! Okay, maybe the darkroom stuff was…)
I’ve shot concerts, weddings, events and products. Recently, I’ve fallen into model photography, mostly catalog/studio style. Every shoot is a challenge and learning experience, just the way I like it.
Equipment
I currently shoot with a Canon 50d DSLR with a vertical grip, rotating lenses between a standard zoom, a macro and red-line telephoto. Flash is a Speedlite II, usually topped with a Lightsphere diffuser.
In the past, I’ve shot with a Canon 40d, a Nikon of questionable reliability and whatever else my company made available. I shot my first concert on a Sony Mavica which saved to 3.25″ floppy disks. The horror!
My Work
I’ll be posting collections over time but, for now, I’ll link off to 3 online catalogs I shot and designed for Hustler Hollywood (the retail/clothing arm of the Hustler empire) in conjunction with 105.7 the Point. (This is mostly SFW stuff, though there is some lingerie.)
